----------------------------------------After the upgrade: 1. All hosts start as having to proof again to be a reliable cruncher... your Zero redundant tasks will run in quorum 2 for a period of time till reproved. 2. The credit system will be re-balancing according better performance management and contribution algorithms with anticipated surprises of yet unknown outcome. 3. Messaging with client may see new functional event logging being recorded for BOINC 5/6/7-alpha contributors at WCG. 4. Any other related stuff... connection issues etc. Stay cool and dont forget to buffer up a bit, and not 1 hour before the event... the actual times of start and stop have not always been exact UT ;O)... last large planned outage started an hour earlier! Those that can/will, set your client offline, and watch the Known Issues and BOINC Support forum thread on developments. The forums are not planned to go offline, just BOINC. Local preferences are easiest to set this as these have network exceptions that can be entered for each day of the week. The UTC times need to be adjusted for your local computer time. If all proceeds according plan with my 1 hour ahead on UTC, will enter for Tuesday in the Network tab: 00:00-14:30 (let network stop 1 hour early and set Activity menu to Network based on Preferences). This will suspend networking until lights are green again i.e. manual intervention. Then restore original schedule or clear as is appropriate to your requirements. My Minimum/Maximum work buffer settings do not require adjustment as they are 0.90 days minimum ATM. Of course, you dont need to do anything at all. If the client cannot connect, it will incrementally back off until it can do so again.

If, how I'm interpretting this (that ALL ZR projects will be quorum 2 for the first few WU's pulled for that project - even many weeks down the road), is correct, then my "mega-badge upgrade" attempt should be made easier. The reason - the two currently ZR projects I've got on my list (C4CW & HFCC), will be quorum 2 (to go along with SN2S, GFAM, DSFL and the 15 quorum HPF2), thereby significantly reducing the risk of them going Intermittent when I return them
